PURPOSE:To improve productivity in process by polishing/grinding a plate like body at its both faces at the same time by a pair of grinding wheels and removing a grinding powder from the wheel with the melting of its polishing/grinding faces. CONSTITUTION:Wheels 98, 100 are rotated as well as holding the both faces of a plate like body 108 with their pinching by a pair of wheels 98, 100 which make a conductive material as the base metals. The wheels 98, 100 are connected to a positive electrode side, the electrode approaching to the wheels 98, 100 is connected to a negative electrode side as well, the base metals of the wheels 98, 100 are melted with the electrolysis of the base metals of the wheels 98, 100, an electrolytic dressing is performed with in-process, the abrasive grain hidden in the base metal is made to appear on the surface successively by the electrolysis and a new fine cutting edge is always projected to the polishing/grinding faces of the wheels 98, 100. So the wheel is not clogged by the polishing/grinding powders during grinding. Also productivity is improved because of the both faces of the plate like body 108 being enabled to be polished/ground at the same time.
