PURPOSE:To widen the possibility of musical tone expression and to impart diversified changes in timbre to musical tones by changing the speed to vary filter characteristics at every detachment from keys in accordance with touch information by using filter means. CONSTITUTION:An operator 12 outputs musical tone information to a system controller 13. The system controller 13 outputs timbre parameters to a musical tone waveform generator 14 and outputs various kinds of musical tone assignment information for changing a cut off frequency (f) by time division to a filter system 15. The controller outputs a volume signal VOL, etc., to a level control section 6. The filter characteristics or the speed to vary the filter characteristics of at least one filter constituting the filter means 15 is changed with time by a filter characteristic changing means according to the touch information at the time of the detachment from the key when filtering is executed by the filter means 15. The possibility of the musical tone expression is widened and diversified changes in timbre are imparted to the musical tones. |
