PURPOSE:To improve the (BH)max in the permanent magnet material by the use of easily obtainable elements, in an R2M17-series material (where R denotes Y and rare earth elements and M essentially denotes transition metals), by specifying the compsn. in which the amt. of Cu is reduced and Zn, Zr, Mn and Sb are added. CONSTITUTION:The permanent magnet material is shown by a general formula in which A denotes one or both of Zn and Zr as well as 0.05<=a<=0.40, 0.02<=b<=0.20, 0.001<=c<=0.03, 0.001<=d<=0.04, 0.005<=e<=0.02 and 6.5<=z<=8.5 are satisfied). The material is the one of which, as an A group, one or both of Zn and Zr are added to R, Cu, Fe and Co required for an R2M17-series magnet material, and both of Mn and Sb are furthermore added thereto. As for (d), the iHc is low in the case of less than the lower limit, and the deterioration of the Br is remarkable and the iHc is also deteriorated in the case of more than the upper limit. As for (e), the synergetic effect with Mn is not produced in the case of less than the lower limit, and the effect for improving the Br is not produced as well as the iHc is deteriorated compared to that in a conventional material in the case of more than the upper limit. As for (c), the synergetic effect with Sb is not produced in the case of less than the lower limit, and both the iHc and Br are deteriorated in the case of more than the upper limit. |
