The invention relates to a method for assistance in aerial radio navigation, by means of an automatic information transmission station and of data, which are situated in the vicinity of a landing ground, as well as an installation for implementing it. The installation comprises: - a computer rack (1) consisting of a microcomputer equipped with a multi-task monitor (2), with memories (3), with input/output cards (4) and an external keyboard (5), as well as an operating output (6). - a rack for managing user messages (7) containing two speech synthesizers (8, 9) linked respectively to a VHF interface (10) and to a telephone interface (11), as well as a videotext interface (12) and control logic (13), the speech synthesizers (8, 9), the videotext interface (12) and the control logic (13) being linked to the monitor (2). - a weather data acquisition station (17) comprising a microprocessor (18) for dialogue and pre-processing, fed by an interface (19) for transmitting weather information from a transmission network (20), as well as adaptors (21) fed by local sensors (22), the microprocessor (18) also being linked to the monitor (2) of the computer (1).
