PURPOSE:To provide hot finishing tandem mills which permit higher rolling- down rolling while maintaining the shapes and crowns of materials to be rolled satisfactorily by disposing mills of the type in which work rolls are moved and adjusted axially in the fore stage of the tandem mills. CONSTITUTION:Works rolls 3, 5 which can be moved respectively in arrows A, B directions or directions opposite thereto by actuators are disposed in the fore stage of the hot finishing tandem mills. The materials of the rolls 3, 5 are preferably of cast steel adamite. Movable 6-stages rolling mills are used for intermediate rolls 22 and a material 21 to be rolled is rolled with work rolls 15, 16 supported by bearing boxes 13, 14. Two sets of intermediate rolls 18 and 22 which support the work rolls with bearing boxes 12, 17 and move the same in arrow C, D directions are provided. If the tapered side ends of the rolls 18, 22 are made coincident with the broadside ends of the material 21, the plate of a good shape is obtained with said rolling mills and cast iron materials contg. much C are suited for the rolls 15, 16. |
