PURPOSE:To easily conduct light shielding and sound insulation by charging a light shielding liquid in a cavity between double window glasses, providing a liquid receiving part on the lower side of the cavity in such a manner that the liquid in the cavity can be raised or lowered. CONSTITUTION:In a window position of a construction, two glass plates 1 are disposed through a cavity 2, with the peripheral parts being sealed by a seal material. On the lower side of the cavity 2, a liquid receiving part 3 is provided through a through hole 4 provided on the seal material, and, for example, a dark brown light shielding liquid W is charged in the inner part. An air valve 5 is provided on the seal material of the upper part, forming a ventilating part of the air in the cavity 2. The liquid W is supplied and discharged between the cavity 2 and the receiving part 3, whereby light shielding is freely conducted. Hence, the change of characteristic and color of the liquid allows selection of desired light shielding and sound insulating conditions and coordination with interior and exterior colors can be conducted. |
