The appts. contains at least one cylindrical, stimulator-sensor unit (10a,10b) operated by pressure. It can contain bellows or a piston-cylinder unit and is held between a finger and thumb. The length of the unit (manipulandum) is variable between approx. 75 to 55 mm, the counterr force is applied pneumatically through change in air pressure. Force and path sensors are used to measure and evaluate the effective finger forces as well as the actual finger distances. A control unit can calculate the movement parameters and control the pressure regulator (14). USE/ADVANTAGE - Motor functions and sensibility of hard rapidly, simply and reproducibly examined. Applicable after brain damage, stroke or ascertaining progress of rehabilitation.
