PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium having good recording/ reproducing characteristics such as C/N and modulation rate, high reflectance, and especially excellent light resistance, by forming a recording layer comprising specified dyestuff on a specified resin substrate and forming a reflecting layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:On an amorphous polyolefin substrate, dyestuff recording layer comprising indolizine dyestuff or thiazole dyestuff is formed, and further a reflecting layer is formed thereon. These dyestuffs have good solubility with org. solvents, while the substrate has excellent solvent resistance. Thereby, the surface of the substrate is hardly attacked when the substrate is coated with the dyestuff layer, and moreover, smoothness of the dyestuff coating layer is preferbly maintained during dried. Thus, the obtd, dyestuff layer has excellent smoothness. The obtd. medium has good recording/reproducing characteristics such as C/N and modulation rate, high reflectance, and excellent light resistance. |
