PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge accurately the time for replacing a secondary filter, by providing a primary filter with a hole for visual inspection of a clogged condition of the secondary filter. CONSTITUTION:As an air conditioner is used, room air flows as indicated by an arrow, and comparatively larger dust particles, such as lint, are collected by adhesion to front surfaces of a primary filter 21. Comparatively smaller dust particles permitted to pass through the filter 21 are collected by an electrified net 28 of a secondary filter 22. The primary filter 21 is provided with a hole 27, and dust passing through the hole 27 is collected by direct adhesion to the electrified net 28. This collected condition of dust can be visually checked through the hole 27, from the front side of the primary filter 21. Dust is adhered to the electrified net 28 of the secondary filter 22 more heavily in the area corresponding to the hole 27 than in other areas. This condition of heavy adhesion of dust is utilized as a measure of clogged condition of the secondary filter 22, whereby the user can be prompted to carry out early inspection and replacement of the secondary filter 22. |
