Vido signals are recorded in successive record tracks on a record medium, thereby enhancing the utilization of the record medium. Interference between the sihnale recorded in adjacent tracks is avoided for reproduction. Durig reproduction of the signals thus recorded, non-interfering signals recorded in two of more adjacent tracks are simul- taneously reproduced by a reproducing magnetic head without the necessity of a servo tracking arrangement (24,25).
