<p>PURPOSE:To enable highly-precise measurement of flatness of a thin steel plate by a method wherein a section to be measured is divided into small sections, a section containing data of 1/4 or above in each small section and the small sections abutting thereon is adopted as a section of regression of a function, and the maximum coefficient of correlation of the regression function with measured data on the small section is adopted as a regression coefficient in the small section. CONSTITUTION:An increase in the continuity of a regression function in an abutting sections can be attained by making part of data on each of sections abutting mutually contained in a section of regression. Concretely, data on the shape of a steel plate in the longitudinal direction at a prescribed position in the width direction are divided into small sections numbering (n). It is assumed, on the occasion, that data in the number of (x) is contained each small section. For an i-th small section, subsequently, such a section of regression as containing data of x/4 or above on each of i-1-th and i+1-th small sections abutting thereon is set. An n-order polynominal expression being used as the function for regression, the function having the maximum coefficient of correlation of the regression function with the measured data on the small sections is adopted as the regression function in the small sections.</p> |
