The invention relates to a device making it possible to lift, transport and unload, by oneself, with one and the same piece of equipment, any heavy object representing a significant load. Device for taking, transporting and unloading a load, characterised in that it includes a lifting system composed of two load-carrying forks (1) controlled by a raising system (2-3-4). The lifting system being fixed to a road-going trailer intended to be coupled to a motor vehicle in order to ensure its transportation on a road, and which includes, on the one hand, a half-axle (7) fixed to each longitudinal member (6) so as to allow free passage of the load taken up and transported between the two wheels and, on the other hand, a movable floor system (12) and a rear anti-spread cross-member (14) which is articulated, movable, and lockable. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for and makes it possible to load, transport and unload loads in a single operation, without interruption and by a single person. <IMAGE>
