The invention relates to an interface making it possible to communicate to an electronic system the virtual displacement of a hand, the latter being immobilised by the device. To this end, a fixed base (1) rendered integral with the surface (S) on which it rests, is linked to a floating box (2) by way of horizontal pressure sensors (3 and 4) and possibly vertical ones (5). The value of the pressures exerted by hand on the box, when communicated to the host electronic system (generally a computer), makes it possible to deduce the displacements which this hand would have made if the base had been mobile. The same device of reduced size can be integrated with the box at the location of the fingers, thus supplementing with the precise values defined by these fingers the rougher values provided by the hand. <IMAGE>
