Novel nitroguanidines of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl or C3-C6-cycloalkyl, R2 is hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl, R3 is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl or C3-C6-cycloalkyl, R4 is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C3-C6-cycloalkyl or a radical -CHR5-B, or R3 and R4 together represent -(CH5)4- or -(CH2)5-, R5 is hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl, A is an unsubstituted or mono- to tetrasubstituted aromatic or non-aromatic, monocyclic or bicyclic heterocyclic radical, and B is phenyl, cyanophenyl, nitrophenyl, halophenyl having 1 to 3 halogen atoms or in each case unsubstituted or substituted 5-thiazolyl or 3-pyridyl, and the salts thereof can be used as pesticides, preferably for controlling insects and arachnids. |
