Water-closet tank flushing mechanism - has valve hinging via driving fork on rocker beam

The flushing mechanism for the tank of a WC allows external operation by a hydropneumatic system, and, without modification, also internal manual/mechanical operation. Flushing can be interrupted by a changeover system taking account of the different effort and amount of movement necessary for flushing and interruption, using the same operating button. The flushing valve (2a) hinges via the driving fork (2) on the rocker beam (6a), on which left- and right-hand pendulum driving members with arrester forks (7) hinge, their pivoting movement being limited by restrictors (7c) and pins (7d). Driving pins (4b) cause the release pressure to act on the right-hand end of the beam and the interruption pressure on the left-hand end. The control mechanism is above the water level, avoiding faulty operation caused by deposits. USE/ADVANTAGE - WC flushing system reduces pressure required on operating button.
