摘要 <p>A composition finding application for coating substrates comprises (a) a waxy, polymer or copolymer of an alpha-olefin of at least 4 carbon atoms, having a density of from 0.83 to 0.94 and an inherent viscosity of from 0.2 to 0.5, and (b) a mono- or di-carboxylic or -sulphonic acid salt of a metal of Group IA, II or IIIA of the Periodic Table. In examples, the waxy polymers used are polybutene, polypentene, polyhexene and polydecene, and butylene-propylene, propylene-hexene, butene-hexene and octenepropylene copolymers; and the organic acid salts used are Li, Mg and Al hydroxystearates, Na stearate, K myristate, Li hexanoate, Zn ethylhexanoate, Ca decanoate, Na eicosoate, Na sebacate, Mg terephthalate, Li benzilate, Al succinate, K phenylacetate, Li naphthoate, Na palmitate, Mg naphthalate, Zn hydroxynaphthoate, Li adipate, Zn phenolsulphonate, Ca toluenesulphonate, Na benzenesulphonate, Na 3-Me-1 -butanesulphonate, K and Mg di-Me benzene sulphonates, di-Na naphthalene disulphonate, and Li 4-(methylheptadecyl) benzene sulphonate.
