<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a bag caused by dust, in an electrostatic bag filter for collecting dust in dust-containing gas, by providing a preliminary charging apparatus to a dust-containing gas inlet and providing a dust collecting electrode to the central part in the bag. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic bag filter for collecting dust in dust-containing gas is constituted of a cylindrical bag 1 made of an insulating fiber and a vertical dust collecting electrode 2 with a diameter of 2-3mm. or more suspended by a wt.19 is attached to the central part of the bag in an earthed state. The dust- containing gas enters from an inlet 4 and is passed through a preliminary charging apparatus 5 to negatively charge the dust. The charged dust is accumulated to the inner surface of the bag 1 and held to negative high voltage and, as a result, the electrode 2 becomes a positive potential while a strong electric field is formed in the space between the two. Therefore, the greater part of succeeding negatively charged dust and the dust accumulated to the inner surface of the bag 1 are collected by the positive potential electrode 2. The accumulated dust layer on the inner surface of the bag is also reduced and the clogging of the bag 1 is prevented.</p> |
