The writing utensil combines two kinds of points in a casing for the user to select either of the points for its own convenience in writing. A cam face (7) is integrally formed with the inner wall of the upper casing (6) to protrude, and the center of a protrusion (8) is formed with a projective stopper (9) to stop the upper face of the guide shaft (10) when a ball point is pushed out. The stopper (9) however slips into the recess (12) formed on the upper part of the guide shaft (10) when the pencil lead is pushed out.
