<p>A protective guard (10) for use with a wall-mounted light switch (12) in order to keep the light switch in the desired ''on'' or ''off'' state. The guard (10) is a pivotal arm (24) having at one end an opening (30) for receiving one of the mounting screws (18, 20) of the light switch (12) by which the guard (10) is pivotally connected to the wall plate (14) of the light switch (12). When it is desired to allow access to and operation of the light switch (12), the guard (10) is pivoted out of the way. The same general principale of the invention applies to a guard for selectively closing off a wall plug outlet.</p> |
