<p>The subject of the present invention is a filing cabinet comprising a base (1) on which is fixed a vertical column (2) on which are mounted in rotation filing drums (not shown). The receptacle of the cabinet consists of two vertical panels (4) which are spaced from each other so as to form two openings which can each be closed by a door (7). A cover, not shown, tops the assembly. This item of furniture is noteworthy particularly in that the panels (4) and the doors (7) can be brought closer to or moved away from the central column (2) so as to adapt the dimensions of the receptacle that they form to the dimensions of the filing drums.
