PURPOSE:To suppress distortion or noise and to keep excellent voice quality by applying filtering from a decoder side to improve the quality of a voice signal deteriorated by the abort of a coding bit. CONSTITUTION:A packet sent to a decoder side through a transmission line 4 is arranged into a signal series consecutive hourly according to header information by a packet decomposing device 5. A bit, e.g. '1' is embedded to an aborted packet. In this case a control information signal A representing whether or not packet abort is generated is obtained from the device 5 based on a packet header. A decoded voice signal is outputted as it is to an output terminal 8 for a period when no packet abort is generated. For a period when packet abort takes place, the output of a decoder 6 passes through a filter 7 and the result is outputted to the output terminal 8. A spectrum shaping filter is used for the filter 7. |
