<p>A strand 1 of the thermoplasticised material is extruded and fed into a shaping rolling mill having a feed roll (2), the rolling pressure on which can be measured for display, or for transmission into the controller of a control circuit, in which a parameter proportional to the measured rolling pressure on the feed roll (2) is used as the actual thickness reading for the material ribbon. The gap setting in the rolling mill is adjusted to a specified target gap setting and held constant, and the speed of the rolling mill is regulated manually from the display, or by the control circuit in response to the measured pressure, to maintain the prescribed thickness. <IMAGE></p> |
