PURPOSE:To reduce vibration for an optical deck housing and an optical pickup by providing a floating mechanism composed of a floating spring and a floating rubber. CONSTITUTION:In a disk reader, the floating mechanism composed of a floating spring 8 and a floating rubber 7 is provided on the upper and lower sides of an optical deck housing 2. A counter balance 24 is fitted to the housing 2 and it is preferable to make uniform load to be applied to the floating mechanisms in four spots. Thus, the vibration, resonance and torsional resonance of the housing 2 and the vibration of a pickup 10 can be reduced and the followup ability of focus and tracking servo systems in the pickup 10 can be improved. |
