摘要 PURPOSE:To always set a car speed, the shift of which is finally completed, at a specified value by a method wherein a point of time of decision of a shift where a car speed is one of shift deciding factors is corrected according to acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle detected by a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:In an AT control unit 13, a shift is decided by a shift deciding means 14 based on a car speed and a throttle opening detected by sensors 15 and 16, a shift signal is outputted to a liquid pressure control valve 12 to effect the shift of an automatic transmission 11. In this case, from a car speed signal, a point of time of decision made by a shift deciding means 14 is corrected by a correcting means 18 according to acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle detected by an acceleration and deceleration detecting means 17. For example, in the case of rapid acceleration and deceleration, a point of time of decision of a shift is quickened, and a car speed the shift of which is finally completed is always set to a specified value. This constitution reduces the generation of a shift shock during rapid acceleration and prevents the occurrence of a trouble where a shift is effected in a state that engine rotation is abnormally reduced during rapid deceleration, and performs proper control of lockup of a torque converter.
