To splice a broken yarn in an open-end spinner, where a mobile maintenance unit travels along the spinning stations, a swing module at the splicer moves according to its motion. A fork transfers part of the reversed yarn end through the spinner and an auxiliary arm with a guide gives orientation and positioning over the opening of the tube of the spinner. a comber A comber on the auxiliary arm, close to the guide, opens out the yarn over the tube opening at the spinner.
