A vehicle-borne lifting device comprises a platform (7) connected via pivotable supporting arms (4) to a support (2) which is reciprocable, by means of a driving mechanism along guide members (1) supported by the vehicle frame, between two axially spaced-apart end positions, viz. an inner end position in which the platform (7) takes an inactive position concealed under or in the vehicle frame and an outer end position in which the platform takes an active position in which it is unfolded in the area outside the vehicle frame and in which it is vertically adjustable by pivoting the supporting arms. The platform (7) is supported by a holder (17) which is hingedly connected to the pivoting arms (4) and relative to which the platform is movable in the same axial direction as the support (2), more precisely by means of a transverse hydraulic cylinder which cooperates with a link mechanism. |
