<p>Electric linking chain (CL) interconnecting a plurality of at the maximum n peripheral units of an information processing system (D1 to D6) and their associated controller (CONT) comprising a series of n dintinct cables (11 to 16) with a plurality of twisted pairs and an assembly of multipoint connection elements (C1 to C6) allowing to electrically interconnect the cables and to connect the peripheral units. According to the invention, the linking chain is characterized in that the chain (CL) forms a unique mechanical assembly, each cable of the series (11 to 16) being mechanically integral with its neighbour by means of a connection assembly (C1 to C6) each connection assembly being associated with a peripheral unit.
