PURPOSE:To realize a parallel light converting function and a beam shaping function without requiring any collimator lens and without inclining a converted optical axis to an optical axis of divergent light of a semiconductor laser by providing two lenses, each in an approximately cylindrical shape, having the same focusing position on the optical axis of the divergent light of the semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with the 1st approximately cylindrically shaped lens A10 having a convex refraction surface on the vertical side to the coupling direction of a chip of the semiconductor laser 1 and the 2nd approximately cylindrically shaped lens B11 having a convex refraction surface on the parallel side to the coupling direction of the chip of the semiconductor laser 1. Then, both are positioned on the optical axis of the divergent light to make their respective focal distances positioned in a light emitting point of the semiconductor laser 1. The semiconductor laser light is converted into parallel light by the 1st approximately cylindrically shaped lens A10 only on the vertical side to the coupling direction of the semiconductor laser ship, and is converted into parallel light by the 2nd approximately cylindrically shaped lens B11 only on the parallel side to the coupling direction. By this method, an approximately elliptical beam as an expression of a light emitting characteristic of the semiconductor laser 1 is converted into a parallel and approximately round beam without inclining the converted optical axis to the optical axis of divergent light of the semiconductor l by simple constitution and adjustment without needing any collimator lens. |
