<p>PURPOSE:To form the radiation pattern whose power level is high and broad, and which is sufficient for using it as a reference wave by adjusting the excitation amplitude and the phase of plural pieces of sub-antennas and forming a null point in the front direction of the pattern. CONSTITUTION:Sub-antennas 2, 2 are excited by an equal amplitude and an opposite phase, respectively. A radiation pattern B (a pattern in the vertical surface) in this case is varied so that power becomes minimum in the angle '0' direction, and on the other hand, power becomes large at the separated angle other than the angle '0' direction. When a pattern B is synthesized with a pattern A, it becomes a pattern C, and the pattern C becomes large power in the same way with regard to an area in which power of the pattern B becomes large. Since the sub-antennas 2 are placed in the upper and the lower parts, the null surface becomes a horizontal direction, and when a mother machine is executing a horizontal flight, the radiation pattern can be formed by high power extending over a wide range in the upper direction or the lower direction.</p> |
