PURPOSE: To provide a high resolution three-dimensional color image of a forward traveling track with no aberration by arranging a cockpit mirror means so that light reflected toward a flight crew is redirected, and a real world three-dimensional view from a standpoint at an apparent visual position of an external mirror is obtained so as to maintain a depth recognizing cue. CONSTITUTION: An external mirror 12 and a lower mirror 14 reflect a view in front of an aircraft from the mirror, from the upper mirror 12 to the lower mirror 14, and accordingly, these mirrors are arranged so as to use the reflected light for a visual cue for controlling the aircraft. In operation, the viewing field of the mirror 12 reflected at the mirror 14 through a transparent element 18 which is therefore protected from being exposed to high speed air by the rear surface 24 of the mirror 12 in such a condition that a VAS system is packed. Further, the mirror 12 is arranged by means of a suitable arbitrary means, and can be suitably included in such a mounting condition that it has a steam-line shape together with the transparent element 18, capable of being repositioned by an electric motor or the like. |
