PURPOSE:To improve comfortableness in driving and abrasion resistance of the tire by respectively specifying percentage of elongation in break of a belt cord and a band cord and an angle of cord and setting the vulcanized stretch of the band layer to within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:Belt plies 9 consisting of three layers for forming a belt layer 7 are formed by arranging cords such as steel having percentage of elongation of 2 to 4% during break with inclination of 10 to 80 deg. relative to the equator of a tire. The cords of the respective plies are alternately arranged with their inclinations. Band plies 11 forming a band layer 10 are formed by arranging in parallel steel cords having percentage of elongation of 2 to 4% during break with inclination of 0 to 5 deg. relative to the equator of the tire, coated with a rubber material and formed in a belt shape. The vulcanizing stretch (BD2-BD1)/ BD1 of the band layer obtained by the outside diameter BD1 of the band layer 10 before vulcanization and the outside diameter BD2 of a vulcanizing metal mold is set from 0.003 to 0.02. According to this constitution, comfortableness in driving and abrasion resistance can be improved. |
