The device is noteworthy in that the guide rail is shaped as an H with one wall fixed to the floor of the transporter and the other wall serving to guide a rider means, in that the rider means is arranged with a U-shaped profile (2, 2) receiving, at its upper part, the end of a section constituting the wedge, and being arranged between its lateral flanges (2, 2) with identically profiled tabs (6-7) pointing and fixed opposite each other, these said tabs each having two separate zones serving, on the one hand, for positioning the rider on the guide rail and, on the other hand, for immobilising the rider angularly on the rail, and in that the aforementioned tabs and the flanges (2, 2) of the rider between them define a cavity allowing the positioning of a cap or runner coming to bear on the upper face of the rail counter to elastic means (11). <IMAGE>
