PURPOSE:To realize a camera which always achieves accurate focusing and whose photographic optical unit is exchangeable by distributing an amount of deviation of each exchanged photographic optical unit so that it is less than the margine of a pupil, and thereby preventing the deviation of the exit pupil area of a focal point detecting device. CONSTITUTION:Autofocusing is carried out by driving a lens drive motor based on an amount of defocus, which is detected by the focal point detecting device 37 for focusing, with the photographic optical unit 51, which is provided with a photographing lens 52, loaded on a camera main body 31. As it does so, the photographing lens 52 and an aperture 38 are in the same optical axis; however, the optical axis of the focal point detecting device 37 is caused to deviate from the photographing lens 52 by an amount delta1. In the relation between the pupil 81 of the photographing lens 52 and the exit pupil 82 of the focal point detecting device 37, the amount delta1 that the optical axis deviates is distributed so that it becomes less than the margine of the pupil; therefore, the eclipse of the exit pupil of the focal point detecting system 37 does not occur. |
