An arrangement for total monitoring of waste gases collects harmful components of the gas over a long period so that at least SO2 can be measured using a pH meter. A suction point can be arranged remotely w.r.t. the measurement device if the gas and condensed water are fed to the first cooling coil via a vertical or steeply inclined channel. A hygrometer measures the water content of the air and the first cooling coil ensures complete condensation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ensures impartial measurement.
