PURPOSE:To efficiently and accurately process a slender and long hole of an arbitrary shape by processing the wire traveling groove from the outer peripheral part of the tip, then boring a desired round hole or deformed hole therein and fitting, welding and detaining a metallic plate consisting of the same material as the material of the tip into this wire traveling groove. CONSTITUTION:The tip 6 is provided with the rectangular hole 7 and the wire traveling groove 8 continuous therewith at the center of the cylindrical part of the tip 6 by a wire cut electric discharge machine. The spacer 9 consisting of the same material as the material of the tip 6 is then embedded therein and the spacer is fusion cut and welded by a laser to obtain the tip 10 having a discharge hole for a spinning mouthpiece. The need for boring a start hole is eliminated in this way and since a deformed electrode is not used, the processing of the slender and long hole to the arbitrary shape is possible and the effect excellent in the efficiency and accuracy is obtd. |
