PURPOSE:To detect foreign matter without a naked eye by providing a quality deciding part which decides whether laver is good or bad by processing a picture signal obtained through a picture of the laver conveyed by a laver conveying part, taken by a laver camera part. CONSTITUTION:By suitably processing a picture signal P of laver M output from a laver camera part 30, whether or not foreign matter mixes in or adheres to the laver M is decided by a quality deciding part 40, and the laver M is decided for whether it is good or bad. Next by giving a decision result of the quality deciding part 40 to an inferior laver removing part 50 arranged in the downstream side of the laver camera part 30, an inferior laver M' is individually removed. While by giving the decision result to an inferiority rate calculating part 60, a proportion (that is, inferiority rate of laver group) of the inferior laver M', contained in the laver group, is calculated and displayed or recorded. |
