PURPOSE:To reduce speed variation by changing time intervals, when excitation is changed over, periodically in response to speed variation peculiar to a stepping motor or a system including the stepping motor and load driven by the motor. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic circuit 60 reads a speed variation data corresponding to an output from a speed setter 70 from a storage circuit 50, and controls the time intervals of output pulses on the basis of said output and the speed variation data. The fluctuation of the pulse rate of the pulse intervals is brought to approximately reversed phase to the speed variation data. The output pulses of the arithmetic circuit 60 are transmitted over a distributing circuit 40, and a base signal for turning an exciting circuit 30 ON-OFF is output from the distributing circuit 40. The excitation timing of each excitation phase is controlled in consideration of speed variation peculiar to a stepping motor 1 at that time, thus denying a natural speed variation section, then smoothly turning the stepping motor. |
