摘要 <p>At least one material layer is applied the aircraft nose cone radome, and has low effective thermic emission in the electromagnetic wavelength interval of 8 - 13 micrometres. A partic. suitable material which fulfils the criteria of transparency to radar waves and low average emittance (E) within the wavelength range of 9 - 13 micrometres is beryllium oxide. This substance has a low emittance, i.e. under 20 per cent, within large parts of the primary atmospheric window of 8 - 13 micrometres. A second material layer used comprises alpha-quartz, or boron nitride, pref. in the cubic phase. Each layer employed has a thickness of at least 1 micrometre.</p>
