PURPOSE:To omit the processing of substantially unnecessary display attribute commands and to improve the display processing speed performance by comparing a display attribute value that each display attribute command updates and specifies with a display attribute value before the specification and deciding whether they are coincident with each other. CONSTITUTION:An attribute comparing means 513 compares the display attribute value that the display attribute command updates and specifies with the display attribute value before the specification to decide whether they are coincident with each other, and means 514 and 515 omit the update of the display attribute value when they are coincident with each other. For example, a graphic display device is provided with a mode wherein a display command string is traced to check unnecessary display attribute commands and an operation mode wherein the decided unnecessary display attribute commands are skipped. Consequently, the processing of the substantially unnecessary display attribute commands is omitted to improve the display processing speed performance. |
