PURPOSE:To dispense with the sewing of both members by forming the front side and rear side members of an air bag main body in a pattern weave, forming both members constituting a bag-shaped section in a double weave, and forming the outer peripheries of both members in a single weave. CONSTITUTION:The air bag main body 12 of an air bag device 11 is formed in a pattern weave, and a front side member 14 and a rear side member 15 are integrally formed by the weaving method. Both members 14 and 15 are formed into a circular bag shape in a double weave, and the outer periphery 16a of a bag-shaped section 16 is formed in a single weave. The rear side member 15 is cut at the single weave portion outside the boundary P1 between the single weave and the double weave, e.g., the position of an imaginary line P2, then it is cut at the position of a separate imaginary line P3 to form the gas injection port 19 of the rear side member 15. The bag is reversed by utilizing the gas injection port 19 so that the single weave becomes the inside of the air bag main body 12, and the air bag main body 12 with the outer periphery 16a of the single weave located inside is completed. |
