The cover for an electrical connection or appts. box (20) has a ring (22,23)fitted in a box mouth track (21), and comprises a thin plastics plate (10) with a pair of aligned divergent tongues (16) on its inside. The tongues are pliable, and with bowed or angled parts (15) connect with the plate. They locate elastically against the box interior inside the ring. From each tongue extends a flexible flap (19) towards the plate (10) to locate against the inside of the ring when the plate is pressed against the box mouth edge. The tongues (16) are arms on a U-shaped stirrup (14-16) whose body (14) is straight, running parallel with the plate (10). The stirrup body (14) is separated from the inside of the plate (10) by distance pieces (12,13), and is reinforced by lengthways fillets. (Provisional basic advised week E44) |
