<p>PURPOSE:To enable decrease in the intensity of light between LED array chips by providing a larger light extraction area of one or more light-emitting elements at the terminal than that of other light-emitting elements. CONSTITUTION:A terminal light-emitting element 2, the second light-emitting element 3 from the terminal and the other light-emitting element 4 are aligned on an LED array chip 1, then an aluminum pattern is drawn out of each light-emitting element 2 alternately and a bonding pat 6 is formed in one piece with the aluminum pattern 5 using aluminum. Given the pitch between the light-emitting elements 2 as A, the pitch between the light-emitting element 2 and the light-emitting element 3 as B and the pitch between the light-emitting element 3 and the light-emitting element 4 as C, A>B>C is established. The LED array chips 1 are arranged in such pattern as that the A>B>C formula is satisfied. In addition, given the light extraction area of the light-emitting element 2 as S2, that of the light-emitting element 3 as S3 and that of the light-emitting element 4 as S4, the relationship of S2>S3>S4 or S2>S3 = S4, S2 = S3>S4 is established. One or more light-emitting elements at the terminal are driven so that their drive current becomes large, if the pitch between the adjacent light-emitting elements of the adjoining chips is larger than that between the light- emitting elements by several tens of percent.</p> |
