The mobile trolley (17), brought to the winding stations to carry the bobbins away, has a number of holding spindles (24) mounted as a turret assembly. They rotate together, round a vertical axis, to be presented in sequence to a bobbin spindle of the bobbin carrier system (29) and a magazine (28) for the empty bobbin sleeves. The trolley (17) has four holding spindles (24) mounted at 90 deg. to each other, in two rows above each other in a revolving turret assembly. A common lifting mechanism raises and lowers all the holding spindles (24). The trolley (17) has its own motor drive, to move it on its rollers along rails laid on the floor. ADVANTAGE - The bobbin doffing process is faster and has fewer stoppages through a simple bobbin carrier trolley system.
