<p>PURPOSE:To restrain a vibration of a pad member in the direction of its bending and a noise caused by opening/closing vibration of a caliper claw part by providing each back board of a pad member divided into two parts with mutual sliding contact in a parallel plane with a disc rotor in the middle of a yoke type claw part. CONSTITUTION:A stepped part 10e is formed at an inner end of a back board 10a of a first pad member 10, while a stepped part 11e corresponding thereto is formed at an inner end of a back board 11a of a second pad member 11, and both the stepped parts 10e and 11e are contacted mutually and slidably. According to this constitution, when an outer pad member 4 is pressed against a disc rotor 2, contact friction between both the stepped parts 10e and 11e restrains vibration of the outer pad member 4 in the rotation direction of the disc rotor 2, and accordingly an opening/closing vibration of a yoke type claw part 8 of a caliper 5 is restrained. A noise frequency of the pad member divided into two parts is thereby substantially reduced and generation of a noise caused by opening/closing vibration of the yoke type claw part 8 of the caliper 5 is also restrained.</p> |
