The method improves the output of a piston engine, using internal air cooling. The compression chamber is divided into a partly encapsulated combustion chamber similar (1) to those used in gas turbines, and an enclosing air buffer-storage chamber (0). The combustion gases are guided by the inside of a cast ring (Y), preventing heat loss as far as the cylinder. USE/ADVANTAGE - IC engine cylinder head makes heat losses usable mechanically.
