PURPOSE:To remove ammonia and free chlorine, etc., in water and to kill bacteria so as to purify the water in a water tank by disposing a water electrolyzing device, water purifying modules consisting of mineral materials and a UV lamp in the forced circulation paths of the water tank. CONSTITUTION:A water sterilizing and purifying device 1 is disposed between the forced circulation flow passages 3a and 3b of the water tank 2. The water electrolyzing device 7, the nitrifying module 10, the denitrifying module 11 and, the sterilizing device 12 are successively connected thereto. The mineral materials consisting essentially of CaO, SiO2, MgO, and FeO are packed into the respective modules. The water flows together with the oxygen and hydrogen generated by the electrolysis into the nitrifying module 10 where ammonia is decomposed from nitrous acid to nitric acid in an oxygen atmosphere by the aerobic microorganisms on the mineral materials 9. The nitric acid is then decomposed to nitrogen and water by the anerobic microorganisms in the denitrifying module 11 in the hydrogen atmosphere. Further, the bacteria are killed by the UV lamp 13, by which the free chlorine is decomposed and the water is purified. |
