<p>PURPOSE:To omit a discharge resistor and avoid a thermally problematic point by turning ON/OFF, a switching element connected in parallel to a field winding and by protecting a field circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output of an AC exciter armature winding Ac.Ex ARM is rectified by diodes SR1, SR2, and is fed to a synchronous generator field winding SGFLD. In parallel with the synchronous generator field winding SGFLD, thyristors SCR1, SCR2 are arranged, and the gate is controlled by a control circuit CC. From the control circuit CC, OFF-signal is applied to the thyristors SCR1, SCR2, when the abnormal voltage of reversed polarity to the polarity of a rotary rectifier ROTREC is generated on the field winding SGFLD, and when the abnormal voltage of the same polarity is generated, then ON-signal is applied to the thyristors SCR1, SCR2.</p> |
