<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a woven fabric which has high abrasion resistance, good comfort to wear and high durability by applying a shrinking treatment to a fabric formed from yarns which comprise specific high modulus organic staple fibers and low modulus organic staple fibers in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION: This fabric is obtained by forming a fabric from yarns which comprise 8-70% of high modulus organic staple fibers, such as para-phenylene terephthalamide fibers, having a modulus of >200 g/dTex and a linear density of <10 dTex/fiber and 30-92% of low modulus organic staple fibers, such as cotton fibers, having a modulus of <100 g/dTex and a linear density of <10 dTex/fiber, and then applying a shrinking treatment to the fabric to raise a fiber tightness to 1.0 or larger. The obtained fabric has a larger fabric surface Weissenberg abrasion resistance by at least 25% than that of a fabric having a high modulus of 100% and having the same METSUKE.</p> |
