A cantilever for mooring of boats comprises both a boom 3 which at its inner end is connected by a joint with a landing stage, a quay or similar 1 by means of a boom fastening 9 with a hinge having a horizontal axis 10 of rotation, and a pair of supporting arms 4, 5 which at their inner ends are connected to the landing stage or similar by means of supporting arm fastenings 11, 12 each comprising a hinge with a horizontal axis of rotation. The outer ends of the supporting arms 4, 5 are connected by a joint with the boom 3 by means of outer joint means having a horizontal axis of rotation parallel with the axis of rotation through the joints of the boom fastening and the supporting arm fastenings. Further, the boom is provided with a runner 6, and the outer ends of the supporting arms are connected with the boom by means of joint means with shared horizontal axis of rotation between each of the outer ends of the supporting arms and said runner. The boom fastening may be loosened from the landing stage, following which the boom may be drawn up on the landing stage while the supporting arms traverse a semi-circular movement. Subsequent to the loosening of a cotter pin 21 or similar between the boom and the runner, the boom may be drawn farther up on the landing stage and be locked in a position for winter storage.
