PREPARATION METHOD OF A C02 ADSORBENT USING NATURAL ZEOLITE

A carbon dioxide adsorbent is produced by heat-treating a modernite-type natural zeolite at 200-350 deg.C, acid-treating the zeolite with at most 0.8N hydrochloric acid solution, and ion-exchanging the acid-treated zeolite with at most 0.7N calcium chloride solution. The adsorbent has a good adsorbing effect, and is used for carbon dioxide from the continuous exhaust gas in the iron- making.
